Our Medical Team

Albert Sun, MD

Dr. Sun is a board-certified endocrinologist who specializes in all disorders of the thyroid. He attended the Medical University of South Carolina and completed his residencies at Tufts New England Medical Center and Yale-affiliated Griffin Hospital. He completed a fellowship in endocrinology at the University of California, Irvine Medical Center. He has over seven years’ experience treating thyroid disease.

Igor Priven, MD

Dr. Priven is a board-certified endocrinologist who completed his fellowship at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York, with additional training at the Mayo Clinic. He has sixteen years’ experience treating thyroid disease and is one of only approximately 350 endocrinologists in the United States who is designated as a “Thyroid specialist” by the American Thyroid Association (www.thyroid.org). Dr. Priven is an expert at interpreting thyroid ultrasonography. He is a member of The American Thyroid Association and Endocrine Society. We are proud to have Dr. Priven as TVC’s Medical Director and CEO.

Jacqueline Vaynkof, MD

Dr. Vaynkof is a board certified endocrinologist who earned her medical degree from SUNY Downstate College of Medicine. She completed her residency and fellowship training in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism at Hofstra Northwell School of Medicine at North Shore-Long Island Jewish Medical Center where she served as chief fellow. Dr. Vaynkof is a member of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE). Her clinical areas of expertise are diagnosis and management of thyroid disorders, including performing (and interpreting the results of) thyroid ultrasounds.
